Polymer Clay Canes for Beginners

27 videos, step by step, beginner cane workshop beginner Cane Tutorial What people are saying about this tutorial. jennifer rose Just finished this first workshop on how to make canes, and I must say I learned so much. This is exactly what I have been looking for, someone who could explain cane making in a step by step that process that I could replicate. I watched the videos, went into my studio and began to create all of the canes Alice showed. I finally have results I can be proud of, and I say thank you so much for doing this workshop. My only question now is when do we get more workshops. If you are only going to take one online class let it be this workshop. Thank you Alice for your hard work, and your dedication to helping others learn the joys of polymer clay.

Birthday Prize

My Birthday Gift

My Birthday Gift to You!

Friday is my birthday and I wanted to say a Big thank you to my newsletter subscribers with this small prize. A girlfriend Pin. Only one can win even though I wish I could send a girlfriend to everyone.

All you have to do is be a subscriber to my newsletter and simply leave a comment here on this post. You don’t have to wish me a happy birthday, thank you anyway for the thought, instead as a present to me tell me what you’re working on.

Or if you’re new to polymer clay, what you would most like to learn right now as you are trying to master this amazing product? Simple basic things, or more complicated techniques?

That’s it, that’s all you have to do and I’ll choose a winner on Saturday with a random number generator.

If you aren’t getting my newsletter now, it’s simply to sign up, it’s free and you get to watch a free 20 minute mosaic video. Just look to the right on this page and you’ll see the mosaic fish and there you are.

Thank you all for supporting me here at Polymer Clay Etc.

Happy birthday Alice! I love looking at your work. Your face canes are wonderful and I’m looking forward to buying a couple from your store – just haven’t decided how to use them yet. If I win this it’s going on a mirror that says “You look fabulous!” – Kay

Friday is my husband’s birthday too! On my birthday he bought himself a new driver, so it would be great to get a new pin for myself! He bought me a few great presents but I had to take them back because I already had them. They were all craft related, so he did try. I am working on lizzard tails that I learned from Julie Picarello. I have to get some clear resin to finish them off. I would like to try pen and ink next!

I took a class from you at Orlando Fandango on creating your ladies. I just love them and I’m having loads of fun useing them in my designs.

Have a happy birthday and keep all the great art coming.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALICE – it looks like you are sticking with Mary Kay’s (Mary Kay Cosmetics) “motto” that is: if a woman will tell her age … she will
    tell anything!

I hope that you have a wonderful day planned. I love the face and hope that I win it as I have an idea for it!

Well Happy Birthday to a fellow Aries! Today is my Birthday :-) I just love your lady pin! The past few weeks I’ve been experimenting with Zentanles on polymer clay. I’ve always loved to doodle. I’ve only been playing with black ink on white clay but now that I’ve seen your lovely pen and ink drawings I think I’m going to try some color zentangles on clay. I really like zentagling and you really don’t need a lot of drawing talent to do it. I’m really enjoying your newsletter. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely artwork!

  • Linda Anne

Happy Birthday – Love your stuff and have purchased several items. I am new to PC – I can’t draw at all – have trouble with stick people :) Then I read that you used rubber stamps on several items. Now I am definitely going to order the pen and ink tutorial!

I fell in love with your girls the first time I saw them. I have your profile face tutorial and would LOVE if you did another front facing one. All your work is truly inspiring and being fairly new to polymer clay I’m always checking in to see what you’re up to. Happy B-day!!!

Wow Alice! I’m #29 to stop by and wish you Happy Birthday!

Once we get to a certain age – I always say – Congratulations or Commiserations – take your pick!

You’ve been so busy and I am totally jealous! I’m not allowed to do any claying or jewelry making for a while yet. But when I do I finally want to make my first girlfriend cuff! I know I’m past due on that! Another 10 weeks and I should be as good as new – well sort of.

  • Deborah

Happy Birthday, Alice! Thank you for sharing your techniques with everyone. I enjoy perusing your website. I’m a beginner so any instructions you post would be helpful to me.

  • Happy, Happy Birthday Alice!! I hope you had a great day! I had a good day myself – I went to Michaels and bought 10 more packages of Premo – last Sunday I bought 23 packages, because Premo is on sale for only 99 cents a package! I also got a few 99 cent rain checks for a couple of colors they were out of. My workspace has 4 one inch balls of different shades of blue waiting for me to get back to a Cindy Lietz class/tutorial on making a Grape Hiacynth cane. I will make some dimentional beads and cane slice earrings with the cane when I get it finished. :)I also have to say how much I love your ladies faces…!!! Both the canes and pen & ink. They are just fabulous and winning one would be so great!! :)
Have a good rest of your Birthday, and a good weekend too!!
    ~Lisa Whitham :) xo
