My copy arrived today. I can’t wait to spend the time enjoying this addition to my polymer clay library. Just thumbing through it, I can tell you it has some fabulous eye candy.
There is going to be some serious color experimentation going on with the polymer clay community and we will all reap the benefits from the infusion of excitement.
I’ll let you know what I experiment with first, what parts of the book are you excited about?

Just finished this first workshop on how to make canes, and I must say I learned so much. This is exactly what I have been looking for, someone who could explain cane making in a step by step that process that I could replicate. I watched the videos, went into my studio and began to create all of the canes Alice showed. I finally have results I can be proud of, and I say thank you so much for doing this workshop. My only question now is when do we get more workshops. If you are only going to take one online class let it be this workshop. I will be looking forward to your review, looks like a great book but Amazon did not have a look inside….does it show how to do things and mix colors or more of a ohhhhhhh pretty kind of book ? Thanks !
I am very excited about this book- although it is eye candy as a secondary trait, it is first and foremost a workable workbook that will teach me how to create a personal portfolio of reproducible color. There are exercises throughout, and Maggie will be hosting free go-along classes on her blog. This is just enough out of my reach of skill right now for me to know that I *can* do this – it is not so intimidating that I just put it down (I’m pretty much a clay beginner.) I’ve already started two of the exercises, and since Maggie will be hosting questions on the blog, I can ask about a few points of confusion (which I am POSITIVE come from my learning style, not from a failing in the writing.)I am not affiliated, just excited to have this resource appear just when I was ready for it!

Edie and Tina, I didn’t have much time last night to really do much but quickly scan the book. I know that this will be the book that truly helps those of us who want to develop a wider color palette. The catch is YOU have to spend the time to do the work. But that work will be what gives you the confidence to be bold and move out of your safety zone. I will be posting as I go.
Hi Alice, I have not ordered the book yet, but it does sound interesting. So glad you will be letting us “know” how you like it and how it will help us improve our clay palette knowledge. {this is something I could use alot of help in) You, Edie, and Tina have piqued my curiousity so it appears I will have to get the book also.

I just posted another bit about the book and some links to related videos by Maggie. Plus a link to the book at Amazon. I think just by using the book and the exercises, we will all be inspired to create some wonderful personal colors.
