Polymer Clay Canes for Beginners

27 videos, step by step, beginner cane workshop beginner Cane Tutorial What people are saying about this tutorial. jennifer rose Just finished this first workshop on how to make canes, and I must say I learned so much. This is exactly what I have been looking for, someone who could explain cane making in a step by step that process that I could replicate. I watched the videos, went into my studio and began to create all of the canes Alice showed. I finally have results I can be proud of, and I say thank you so much for doing this workshop. My only question now is when do we get more workshops. If you are only going to take one online class let it be this workshop. Thank you Alice for your hard work, and your dedication to helping others learn the joys of polymer clay.

New Polymer Clay Tutorial – Tropical Leaves

Frame Made Using Leaves From Tutorial

Frame Made Using Leaves From Tutorial

I’ve finished my Tropical Leaves tutorial and it is now for sale in my Etsy shop. It’s another 40 minute video with 7 full 8 1/2″ by 11″ pages with step by step instructions. Colored drawings clearly show you the way to complete each cane.

Tropical Leaves - 9 canes

You’ll learn how to create all of these canes and yes the “vine” is a cane as well. I reduced them all down a bit to create the frame above. I also added a few other canes and bit of color to complete the overall effect.

I’ll be making a couple of other items with these canes so stop back soon.

Thank you Tina, it was fun to make. So glad you stopped by and said hello…

  • Love it! It looks like it was a lot of fun. Have a great week!

Thanks Kate for stopping by, they’re easy to make with lots of possibilities. Always lots of fun but lots of work making a tutorial. I love it.

Congrats on your new tutorial. The leaves are indeed tropical and look fantastic on the picture frame.
Are you going to Orlando Fandango next year? I noticed they have the instructors listed on the website.

Thank you Linda, I bought a bunch of those picture frames at Dollar Tree. they had a raised design, but I just cover it with the leaves. I want to do a “girlfriend” one this week using my faces.

I sure hope to go to fandango next year. What a great time we all had. But I have to wait before I commit. If nothing else I’ll zip up there for a day or too, even if all I do is hang out in the big room.

This coming Sat. I’m driving over to Palmetto to attend the Gulf Coast PC Guild. They’re having about 20 kids in to make covered pens. Thought I’s join in the fun.
