Just finished this first workshop on how to make canes, and I must say I learned so much. This is exactly what I have been looking for, someone who could explain cane making in a step by step that process that I could replicate. I watched the videos, went into my studio and began to create all of the canes Alice showed. I finally have results I can be proud of, and I say thank you so much for doing this workshop. My only question now is when do we get more workshops. If you are only going to take one online class let it be this workshop. LOVE LOVE LOVE these! Now if you could just make it into something I could get away with displaying at my house. Maybe a sun catcher could hang on the window above my desk? The rest of the fam. is not so enamored with the pink wonders : ) Your work is so detailed and inspiring.

Wow! thanks Marie, I know what you mean about not everyone seeing the absolute beauty…uhhh…ridiculousness, humor…of these totally artistic creatures. (Marie….I don’t think a Sun Catcher would work either for those of little taste. Either you get these guys or you don’t.) 🙂 I found salt and pepper shakers are actually just the right thing. You can display them in the kitchen if you want, or can hide them in the cabinet when danger lurks..from un-flamingo-loving persons. After awhile they won’t even notice that the shakers are there.
