Polymer Clay Canes for Beginners

27 videos, step by step, beginner cane workshop beginner Cane Tutorial What people are saying about this tutorial. jennifer rose Just finished this first workshop on how to make canes, and I must say I learned so much. This is exactly what I have been looking for, someone who could explain cane making in a step by step that process that I could replicate. I watched the videos, went into my studio and began to create all of the canes Alice showed. I finally have results I can be proud of, and I say thank you so much for doing this workshop. My only question now is when do we get more workshops. If you are only going to take one online class let it be this workshop. Thank you Alice for your hard work, and your dedication to helping others learn the joys of polymer clay.

Tons of New Listings Mean Great Gifts for Christmas

It was a busy day yesterday as I uploaded item after item to my Etsy Shop.  This Flame Necklace is an interesting piece with large unusual beads.

It will prove to be the same tomorrow I believe.  Most of the items I’ve made in the last few months and just haven’t taken the time to do all the legwork needed to get them ready for Etsy.

Another crazy girlfriend bracelet. She’s a single lady.

This is one bracelet in a series of 13. I really want to make more of these interesting face canes. Maybe after Christmas.

You already know how I feel about your face bracelets my friend.

The necklace is really interesting! I tried to see what the clasp was but I can’t figure it out. Is it an animal or something? And the way you finished the ends of your buna cord (I’m assuming) is very interesting too! Isn’t that what you want? A beautiful necklace that also creates an interest. I was really taken with the beads as well and tried looking at them in different ways to see the sides etc.
    A very intriguing necklace Alice!

I’m sure you feel rushed and panicky! It is always a lot of work to get anything on Etsy. Then all of a sudden – it’s Christmas time and an even bigger panic sets in. Sorry if I’m aggravating it! eeek!

Anyway – well done Alice. Your work is always incredible!

aims, I’m really not panicky or rushed actually. Part of what I love about where I am in my life right now is that I have given up most of the worrying. I just wanted to get these things listed so they weren’t just sitting here, because I don’t think somehow, miraculously, someone will buy them without seeing them. :)
I do this because I love it. If I needed to live by it, well, I’d have already gone back to work for someone else. lol That’s not to say that I don’t need to sell my work, I do, I have bills to pay to keep this site running and to pay for supplies. But I gave up stressing…….. it pays nothing….:)

Wow, Monday morning thoughts……..but seeing a note from you and others here, always make me want to keep claying. It’s so important to have friends that pop in from time to time to cheer you on. So thank you aims.

The necklace happened a few months ago and here’s the Post about it. The burgundy beads have cane slices on both sides, the bead in the middle is only one sided. The clasp is just a silver ring with a bar that slips through it.
