Polymer Clay Canes for Beginners

27 videos, step by step, beginner cane workshop beginner Cane Tutorial What people are saying about this tutorial. jennifer rose Just finished this first workshop on how to make canes, and I must say I learned so much. This is exactly what I have been looking for, someone who could explain cane making in a step by step that process that I could replicate. I watched the videos, went into my studio and began to create all of the canes Alice showed. I finally have results I can be proud of, and I say thank you so much for doing this workshop. My only question now is when do we get more workshops. If you are only going to take one online class let it be this workshop. Thank you Alice for your hard work, and your dedication to helping others learn the joys of polymer clay.

Wonderful tutorial. You have the gift for making these! when I saw the pin, I at firat thought it was a cane slice. Your method is very cool. Do you make your “girls” the same way or are these canes? Laura

    Laura,
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it. I enjoy making the videos very much.
My “girls” are kind of made that way, but layered rather than all the same height. There are a few tricks to them as well.
The mosaic technique could be used for any design. Fish just lend themselves because of the colors and patterns.

Loved the fish video. I’ve been playing with clay for 8 years and I’m always looking for new inspiration. Thanks to Arlene Harrison for hooking me up to your site.

Alice, I love the fish tutorial. You made it look so easy. I have to take a picture of the one I have made. Not as nice as yours but it sure was fun to do. :-)
