This girl is a little bit different. A Full face on a 1 1/8″ bracelet. This time my girl has a colorful blouse. And as always, a hat. She’s going to join her sisters in my Esty Shop. Thanks for stopping by…. I am so thrilled to tell you I won another fabulous piece of art from another fabulous artist. I won this Altered composition book from Sherry Goodloe. Don’t you just love it? She has been trying to tell me for a couple of days, but I just didn’t get it. You can see more of Sherry’s work on her blog. And you can take a closer look at the detail of “my” altered journal. You also might want to take a look at what Sherry’s done with Zentangles. I thought these were so clever, and you know me with faces and crazy girls. Thanks so much Sherry and I’m sending you my address right now. I can stop saying I never win anything! I won this lovely watercolor painting by Susan Himmel. It was meant to be. I live in Florida, I’m a big fan of watercolor. I have the perfect spot for this painting. Thank you Susan, I’m thrilled. I had a great time flying around to all the blogs that were involved this year. I stopped at so many wonderful blogs that I never would have found if not for Lisa Swifka and A Whimsical Bohemian. Thanks Lisa. Please come back tomorrow to see who won. But if you won, you’ll know first thing in the morning. Happy Valentine’s Day! Another bracelet full of girls going to my Etsy Shop. Still great fun and still making me laugh, what more can you ask for? A color for just about any outfit. It’s really alive and fun to wear. All my pieces come in a cloth drawstring bag with a small gift card enclosed. Ready to become that perfect gift. I’m shutting down the One World, One Heart giveaway tomight ( 8:00 EST) to get ready for the big giveaway tomorrow. I’m giving away one of my profile face bracelets to a fellow blog owner. Check back tomorrow for the winner. If if happens to be you….don’t worry, I’ll email you. I was at a very good friend’s house the other day and saw a piece I made about 6 or 7 years ago. I asked if I could take pictures of him because I think I want to play around with Paper clay and polymer together. I’ve been asked if I ever tried to combine other mediums with polymer and the answer was yes, but not with a great deal of success. I’d tried paper mache with a polymer layer on top. Then again, I didn’t continue to try, I just put aside. I enjoyed working with the Paper Clay and think maybe I’ll try it and polymer clay canes together. I know, I’m just not satisfied ever, I always have to ‘sperment. It’s super bowl sunday. New Orleans is playing, this guy looks like he belongs at Mardi Gras. He already has beads. This is the bracelet I talked about on a previous post. It was made from slices of canes that were meant for other projects but weren’t used. I saved them instead of throwing them in the scrap pile. When I had enough to make this bracelet, I put them all together and this is the result. I’m putting in my etsy shop today. It’s fun and colorful and I think with a pair of jeans and a white shirt, it would look pretty good. In fact this bracelet will probably go with whatever you wanted to wear.I’m starting to work on things to go with me to the Orlando Fandango. Masks and donations for their auction etc. Plus I’m rearranging my work space. My husband is getting a new desk and I’m adding his old one to my work spaces. I know that all of you know what that means. Not looking forward to the moving and cleaning and “un-earthing” of things that I will now have to decide what to do with. Treasures you know, too good to just throw away. After seeing all the fabulous “found art” being produce while I was flying around the blogs with One World One Heart, I think we need an exchange blog. I have things I know you would just love to have, maybe you have something to trade. I’d love to give all these buttons and ribbons and old books and just stuff I’ve collected over the years to someone who would use it. Tomorrow I’m taking stock to The Creative Native Gallery in Tampa. I sell quite a few of my bracelet there, so I’m running low. Always a fun trip, plus my friend Alice is going with me to put some of her work in the gallery too. The large “lots of girls” bracelet above is going to my Etsy shop. So go take a look at what else I have for sale there. If you haven’t entered your comment for the One World One Heart giveaway, Scroll down and enter your blog address, or click here. One World One Heart Giveaway. This is a wonderful idea, a magical event starring bloggers from all over the world. Created by Lisa Swifka from A Whimsical Bohemian. You’ll want to spend so time on her blog and read about how this all started and to see the list of hundreds of other bloggers that have giveaways on their blogs. This is the first year for me and I’m excited to add my name to the list. As you can tell, I’m a polymer clay enthusiast and am crazy about faces. So it’s only right that I give away a polymer clay face. All Bloggers everywhere are eligible to participate. Simply leave a comment and you might win this crazy girl bracelet. Tell me what you want to see next….or just say hi. This event runs until Feb. 15th, I will announce the winner here on my blog. Make sure you leave you’re email address and a link to your blog. That’s it! Good luck. Here’s a little lesson about a hair cane to go with my Profile Face Cane Tutorial. You don’t have to purchase my tutorial, you can use this type of cane for your own face cane. This video is over 12 minutes long, so grab a cup of tea or coffee and take a break. The first part shows you how to build the cane and the second part shows you how to apply a straight bob and a wavy hair style to your faces.
If you don’t have a face cane that you already make, or have just been thinking about learning how to build a face cane, I promise you, my Profile Face Cane is really easy. And judging from the feed back from happy customers, I think the instructions are easy to follow.
So……if you decide that you just have to make one, there’s a link to my Etsy shop in the upper left hand corner of this page.
